Purchase Process Walkthrough
To register a domain name with New.net, it will only take
a few minutes. You only need to specify the Contact Information
and credit card billing information associated with your domain
name. DNS information is not required during sign-up; this can be
edited at any time after the registration is complete.
Step 1: Enter domain you wish to purchase
Simply type your domain name in the field provided, place a checkmark
next to your desired domain extension, then click "Check It."
Select the language you wish your domain extension to appear in
by clicking on the appropriate tab.
A New.net domain name can be up to 55 characters long - excluding
the characters used to identify the domain name extension (.SHOP,
.GAME, etc.). Valid characters are letters (a-z), numbers (0-9),
and a hyphen "-". A hyphen may not begin or end a domain
name. Spaces and special characters like the underscore "_",
an exclamation mark "!" or accented characters are NOT
permitted.
Example: your name.shop (not valid, no spaces allowed)
Example: your_name.shop (not valid, no underscores allowed)
Example: your&name.shop (not valid, no special characters
allowed)
Example: your-name.shop (valid)
Example: yourname.shop (valid)
Step 2: Add domain to Shopping Cart
Step 3: Choose domain registration period
From the drop-down menu, choose the purchase period for your domain.
Next, click the "First Time User" button and proceed to
Step 4.
- If you wish to delete a particular domain from your shopping
cart, click the "Delete" button next to that domain
and it will be removed.
- If you wish to change the purchase period for any domains in
your shopping cart, select the desired period from the appropriate
drop-down menu, then click the "Update Total" button
to view your new purchase total.
Step 4: Create a New.net account
Be sure to use an existing, valid e-mail address as well as a
password you can remember easily. Check the boxes at the bottom
to receive e-mail updates and special offers.
When finished, click the "Submit" button.
Step 5: Enter Contact Information
For each New.net account, you must submit Billing, Administrative
and Technical contact information. Each of these contacts can be
different. If you wish to use the same contact information you submitted
when you created your account in Step 4, select it from the drop-down
menu (by e-mail address).

If you wish to use different information for a contact record,
select "Create a new contact record" and then enter the
information such as in the example below. As indicated, the Administrative
Contact will be displayed as the "currently registered to"
information when anyone attempts to register your purchased domain.
When finished, click "Next".
Step 6: Confirm Purchase/Submit Payment information
On this page, the first thing you should do is verify that all
displayed information is correct. If you need to make changes, just
click the "Change Information" button for the corresponding
section.

Next, enter your payment information:

As indicated, this information MUST match the billing information
for the credit card being used. After verifying that the information
is correct, be sure to read our Registration Agreement and then
place a check in the box at the bottom. Also, checking this box
will acknowledge that you understand that the number of Internet
users who have access to New.net domain names is currently limited
to the number at the bottom of the purchase page and most every
other page on the site. This number includes those who access the
Internet via one of our ISP partners or who have activated their
browsers using New.net's plug-in software. Please note that New.net
does NOT store credit card information. When finished verifying
your information, click the "Submit Order" button ONLY
ONCE.
