Overview
New.net™ has established a procedure to facilitate
an easy and secure transfer of your domain name(s) to another
party. To protect your domain name(s), New.net must receive
authorization from the current registrant to transfer the
domain name(s) to a new registrant. By requesting the transfer
of the registration of your domain name(s), you understand
and agree to be bound by the terms of New.net's Registrant
Transfer Agreement set forth below.
Note: New.net can only transfer domain names registered
through New.net. In addition there can be only one new registrant
per transfer.
To help you understand the transfer process we have provided
the following Overview of the Transfer Process. This is only
an Overview. The Registrant Transfer Agreement must be filled
out and sent to New.net to initiate and ultimately complete
the transfer process.
To complete the Agreement, you may either click
here to view a print-friendly HTML version or click
here to download the document in .pdf format. In either
case, we suggest using the Overview as a checklist to make
sure that you have not missed any steps in the transfer process.
- Current Registrant Data:
You must provide complete contact data pertaining to the
current registrant of the domain name(s) in question. This
data must match the current registrant information on our
database if we are to transfer the domain name(s). In addition,
this data includes the designation of the domain name(s)
to be transferred.
- New Registrant Data:
You must provide complete contact data pertaining to the
new registrant of the domain names(s) being transferred.
This includes the name of the individual who will be listed
as the administrative contact/registrant of the domain name(s)
and the organizational contact information that will be
associated with the domain name(s) and complete billing
data for the new registrant of the domain name(s). This
data will be kept on file with the new registrant's account
at New.net As mentioned in Section III, below, anyone can
pay the Registrant Transfer fee; as such, this data may
be different than the data provided for the Registrant Transfer
Billing Fee. In addition, the new registrant for the domain
name(s) must provide general account data in this section,
including an email address and password.
- Transfer Fee:
There is no transfer fee, but the new registrant must pay
the full first year registration fee for each domain name
transferred.
- Letter of Authorization:
The current registrant of the domain name(s) must provide
New.net with an officially notarized letter stating that
he or she authorizes the registrant transfer. New.net cannot
and will not transfer the domain name(s) without a Letter
of Authorization.
- Transfer of Registrant Agreement:
Both the current and new registrants must review, sign,
and date the Transfer of Registrant Agreement to demonstrate
their understanding of and agreement to the terms of registrant
transfer.
- Registration Agreement:
The new registrant must sign the New.net Registration Agreement,
indicating that they agree to be bound by the terms and
conditions of the Registration Agreement.
Once all sections of this Registrant Transfer Agreement have
been completed, please fax or mail the entire document, along
with any supplemental documentation, to:
